This week's Workart was an actual workout. Gouache is a such a tricky medium and it is definitely a stretch of my abilities. Add to the fact, I painted a transparent creature, and it became more of a challenge. I was at the Texas State Aquarium last week and they have a great jelly area. I didn't see this species, but there were lots of other fantastic animals. This is a mauve stinger or a purple-striped jelly. Though it is beautiful, and bioluminescent, it packs a powerful sting.
