This is #1 of Workart Project. This abstract watercolor features the back of a Guadalupe Bass, the official state fish of Texas. This rare species is native to the Edward Plateau region and is facing extinction in some areas. Its population is vulnerable to hybridization with smallmouth bass, habitat degradation, and reduced streamflows. More efforts will need to be made to ensure this species sticks around for the future fishers of America - the other FFA.

I'll post a piece on Wednesday that I try something new, re-try something, or do something I've always wanted to try. These will be larger pieces than those from last year.
