Fish are some of Brandi Wilson’s primary subjects. They caught her attention as a child, and never released it. From saltwater to fresh water, she loves them regardless of their water preference. Occasionally, she includes a place from one of her fishing trips on this page. The newest subjects appear first. The piece features a manta ray created by combining styles like alebrijes, mehndi, and Bohemian glass cutting. Details include other creatures from the ocean such as blue crabs, oysters, whelks, sea turtles, ballyhoos, shrimps, starfishes, octopuses, sharks, and grouper. Coconut palm fronds blend in the refractions of the sandy sea floor beneath the ray. The Rococo style frame was selected to compliment the over-the-top of the styling of the Manta Reina!
