ALAMO - 2012 - #2
ALAMO - 2012 - #2
186 years ago today, the siege of the mission turned fortress, known as the Alamo, ended as the Mexican forces killed all the Texian and immigrant occupiers. Located in the heart of San Antonio, the Alamo serves as a sacred memorial to all those who lived, fought and died there.
Also, did you know Phil Collins is a Texas-size collector of all-things-Alamo?! His collection is on display until April 24th, 2022! https://www.thealamo.org/visit/phil-collins-collection-preview-supplies-for-war Amazing musician and honorary Texan!
This design was originally painted back in 2012 and is only the second I've created. With the stucco texture and curved frame, it gives the piece a feel of the actual mission architecture. The piece is rendered in acrylic paint on cotton canvas measuring 18”x24”, and within its frame it is 22.5”x 29”.
